The funeral of Harvey M. SUMMERS took place from the family residence 3 miles SE of Mace, last Saturday morning. Mr. Summers was born Nov 1, 1829 in Crawford County, PA died Dec 4, 1896. He had been severaly afflicted for two years and the last few weeks of his life were full of the most intense suffering. He was formerly affiliated with the German Baptist Church, but in 1893 became a member of the ME Church at Mace. He was also a member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge. He leaves a wife and 5 children. Rev RC Riley of the Mace ME Church officiated at the funeral. He was buried by the Knights of Pythias at Oak Hill Cemetery. - transcribed by kbz

Mr. Summers was born Nov. 1, 1829, in Crawford County, Pennsylvania, died Dec. 4, 1896. He had been severely afflicted for two years and the last few weeks of his life were full of the most intense suffering. He was formerly affiliated with the German Baptist Church, but in 1893 became a member of the M. E. Church at Mace, Ind. He was also a member of the K. of P. lodge. He leaves a wife and five children. Rev. H. C. Riley, of the Mace M. E. Church officiated at the funeral. He was buried by the Knights of Pythias at Oak Hill Cemetery. -s
